We had an unexpectedly thrilling sighting. I had stopped the vehicle at a perfect spot to just admire the winter’s day sunset. While taking pictures, out of the thickets came one of the Styx female lionesses with a cub in her mouth. The cub was so small that the mother’s mouth almost covered it entirely.
