BY ROAD

Distances

• Johannesburg to Arathusa Safari Lodge – approximately 550 kms (approximately 7 hours by road)
• Nelspruit to Arathusa Safari Lodge – 170 KM ( approximately 2.5 to 3 hours by road)
• Hoedspruit to Arathusa Safari Lodge – 80 KM ( approximately 1.5 hours by road)
• Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport to Arathusa Safari Lodge – 165 KM (approximately 2.5 to 3 hours by road)

• From Johannesburg, take the N12 to Witbank. At Witbank, take the N4 to Nelspruit.
• Take the R40 from Nelspruit to White River and proceed to Hazyview.
• Remain on the R40 towards Bushbuckridge.
• From Hazyview it is approximately 62 km until you reach Acornhoek
• Turn right at the traffic lights (Manyeleti / Hulamahashe / Hluvukani turn off)
• Follow the tar road for approximately 33km.
• Turn right onto a gravel road (just before the Hluvukane BP Petrol Station on the right hand side)
• Travel down this gravel road for approximately 5km until you find a road to your left. Turn left.
• Travel straight down this road for approximately 16km to the “Gowrie Gate”
• Entrance fee to the Sabi Sand Game Reserve is payable in cash (ZAR 80.00 per vehicle)
• Travel straight through the “Gowrie Gate”
• Follow the sign for “Arathusa Safari 5.9km”

BY PRIVATE ROAD TRANSFER

We are gladly able to arrange for road transfers on your behalf from Hoedspruit (Eastgate Airport ) and Nelspruit (Kruger Mpumalanga Airport) for more info on costs please contact Res office on reservations@arathusa.co.za.

 Please Note:

Entrance fee to the Sabi Sand Reserve currently ZAR 80.00 per vehicle, payable on entry.

Effective 01/08/2010, the Gowrie Gate entrance fee will be R110.00 per vehicle, as well as R20.00 per person.
